Membership Policy

MEMBERSHIP ENTITLEMENT

Immediately on payment of the required joining and membership fee and acceptance of my membership application by Boulder Project, subject to the ‘cooling off period’ described below, I acknowledge that I will be a member of Boulder Project and will be bound by the terms and conditions of membership referred to in this document. As a member I understand I am entitled to use the facilities only during the specified times as set out in my membership type description and only for the term of this membership subject to meeting the conditions contained in this document. I also understand and accept the Customer Terms & Conditions set by our billing provider Square https://squareup.com/au/en

 

RECURRING PAYMENT METHODS

I understand that membership suspension is available free of charge for 14 days per calendar year to members on a minimum six month contract and provided that I have no membership fees owing to Boulder Project at the date of the suspension application. All suspensions must be for periods of no less than 7 consecutive days, and be applied for in writing. Membership suspension does not apply to any storage locker hire. All applications must be received and approved prior to the commencement of the suspension period. Any membership suspension exceeding 14 days in the calendar year will incur an additional cost of $5.00 per week. Membership suspension may not be used as the 7 days written notice period for membership termination. Boulder Project reserves the right to refuse any application for suspension at its discretion. 

 

UPFRONT MEMBERS

I understand that membership suspension is only available to upfront members on a minimum six month contract. Six and twelve month membership contracts are eligible to 30 days suspension free of charge. All suspensions must be for periods of no less than 14 consecutive days, and be applied for in writing. Membership suspension does not apply to locker hire. All applications for suspension must be received and approved prior to the commencement of the suspension period. Boulder Project reserves the right to refuse any application for suspension at its discretion.

 

CANCELLATION

I understand that cancellation of my membership is possible on the expiry date of my minimum subscription period by giving Boulder Project 7 days prior written notice provided that I have no membership fees owing to Boulder Project at the date of the cancellation application, Cancellation on the date of the membership term expiry carries no charge. If I chose to cancel my membership prior to the expiry of the minimum subscription period I hereby agree to pay the cancellation fee of $200.00 or the sum equal to the remainder of the contract term – whichever is the lesser, still giving 7 days prior written notice. 
If you wish to instead transfer your membership to someone else we w
ill process this for you for free. You will need to nominate the individual and request the transfer in-person with the person you are transferring the membership to.

 

MEMBERSHIP REFUND

I understand that I have a five (5) day ‘cooling off’ period after signing this agreement where I will be refunded my initial payment less one month’s membership if I decide I do not wish to proceed with my membership application. After this period I acknowledge that I am not eligible for any refund for money that I have paid Boulder Project for any reason.

 

MEMBERSHIP FEES AND CHARGES

I acknowledge that the membership recurring payments is taken weekly on the weekly anniversary day of signing up and that it is my responsibility to ensure sufficient funds are available to be taken at this time. I acknowledge that Boulder Project management reserves the right to adjust membership dues at any time and will give 30 days written notice of any increase and an opportunity to cancel the membership. If membership fees are increased, I authorise Boulder Project to increase any recurring debits to my credit card that I have authorised.


SCHEDULE OF COSTS & FEES

Credit and Debit card transactions for Mastercard and Visa have an Square Payments fee of 2.20% per transaction payable by the member (Boulder Project has reduced its subscription costs by 2.20% to absorb this cost on behalf of the member)

This is an ongoing agreement.

A Payment Dishonour Fee of $10.00 will be charged for each dishonoured payment.

 

CHANGE OF RULES

I acknowledge that Boulder Project reserves the right to change conditions of membership, including but not limited to opening and closing hours and the service and facilities offered by Boulder Project, at its discretion with 30 days’ notice. Such notice will be provided via contact details held by the Boulder Project. It is the responsibility of the member to notify the Boulder Project of any changes to personal details. 
I acknowledge that Boulder Project reserves the right to change conditions of membership, including but not limited to opening and closing hours and the service and facilities offered by Boulder Project, with no notice, if the State Government of Victoria provides a specific direction to do so. Boulder Project will make every effort to communicate any changes in these circumstances via all available channels including the website, facebook and Instagram pages.

 

FINANCIAL HARDSHIP

Boulder Project  is committed to supporting our members in times of genuine financial hardship, if you are unable to pay for your membership. These situations may include, unemployment, sudden illness, a death in the family, or being affected by domestic or family violence, natural disaster such as fire, flood or drought, or any other temporary or ongoing cause. If any of these circumstances arise, at your request, we will consider bending, breaking or ignoring the above conditions of membership due to your circumstances. We may request documentary proof of your circumstances, NOT including a situation of Family Violence.
